The route goes through the ridge that stretches from Panchase hill to the surrounding areas. The trek can be started from several places like Peace Pagoda, Kande , Kushma & Karkineta and vice-versa. We can see some of the world highest mountain as well as some beautiful peaks. The route goes through lush green forest of Rhododendron, Pine, chestnut which is very rich in flora & fauna. In the clear days we can see up to Annapurna mountain range, Mt Manaslu in the east and Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Gurja in the west. The Pokhara valley can be seen from the ridge at many places during the trek.
Panchase trek is one of the famous trek that can be done around Pokhara . This trek can be fit for all physical level because its mid altitude and the terrain is also moderate. The best time for this trekking is September to June except the monsoon season because it’s the most raining territory in Nepal and the leeches are excessively found and the trail used to be slippery & greasy. The walk goes through few beautiful village mostly inhabited by Gurung, Magar, Brahmin, Chhetri & Dalits so we can see local culture, custom and the way of living. The small terrace in the sloppy and steep areas are quiet interesting and worth observing.
Few things about this trek to get so popular are its close from city & spectacular view can be seen during the trek. The region is enriched for cultural heritage, natural heritage as three mountain over eight thousand can be seen during trekking. The view of Mt fishtail is amazing as it looks different shape from different places. The highest elevation during the trek is 2517 m at Panchase dada where there is a goddess temple. Thus we don’t have to worry about altitude sickness it doesn’t matter any elevation related problem at this height.
