Upon our arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, we will be warmly greeted by a representative from Beauty Nepal Adventure. After completion of our custom formalities (Visa, etc), we pick up our luggage and look for our representative with Beauty Nepal Adventure display board at the arrival gate. We will be then escorted to HOTEL IN Kathmandu. After check in, we can either take a rest or hang around in the city site. It all depends upon our interests and condition. At the evening upon our representative will organize a Welcome Dinner at an excellent traditional Nepalese restaurant where we enjoy a Nepalese cultural program as well as a fine meal.
At early morning, we fly for Pokhara. It will be bettet to catch right side of the airplane for the best views of Himalayas. Upon arrival in Pokhara, the lake city offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and others. Numerous lakes of Pokhara, known as ‘Tal’ in Nepali, offer fishing, boating and swimming facilities.
Leave Pokhara and travel by road to Suikhet Phedi, 20 KM drive 30 minutes away. From here, the trail ascends steeply through forest and later through paddy fields to the village of Damphus where you stay overnight in lodge.
(5100 feet and 5/6 hours walking) Today the trail goes along the ridge to Deurali. Descend through forest again for some time to the small villages of Tolka and Bheri Kharka. The trail then descends through scattered forests and villages to reach Landrung for overnight in lodge.
The trail goes steeply down towards the river for an hour then there is a steep ascent for about 2-3 hours through scattered villages with beautiful views of the Himalayas. Eventually, reach Ghandrung, one of the largest Gurung settlements in Western Nepal. You can have good views of Gangapura, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Mount Annapurna and other snow-capped mountains. If time permits, visit the Annapurna Mountain Conservation Area Project (ACAP) headquarters, the local museum and the village.
Today, we trek from Ghandruk to Naya Pul then drive back to Pokhara. The trek will be downhill all the way to Birethanti. We step onto a staircase paved with stone slabs, curving in and out of the village and then terraced farms. It keeps on going down almost without breaks from Ghandruk until Modi Khola river valley. By the time, we arrive at Birethanti, some of us would feel like having made a downhill marathon. But our marathon is not over yet. From Birethanti, a half-an-hour’s walk takes us into Naya Pul. The journey on foot comes to an end at Nayapul. Then, we drive from Nayapul to Pokhara.
We choose an afternoon flight to Kathmandu. Till some hours before flight, we may take an optional sightseeing tour within Pokhara or enjoy adventure activities such as boat riding, paragliding, etc. While returning to Kathmandu from Pokhara, we have to be sure to catch the left side of airplane for the best views of Himalayas. Upon our arrival in Kathmandu, we will be escorted into our hotel. The day in Kathmandu either will be for leisure to rest or for perhaps some shopping before further trek to Everest Region or explore any sights we missed during our first day in Kathmandu. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
